Artist Statement
Columns reinterpret the ancient architectural form through a contemporary lens, replacing mass with reflection and solidity with distortion. Each column behaves like a vertical stream of liquid metal—capturing the environment, bending it, and returning it transformed.
The mirrored surface creates a visual tension between permanence and fluidity, making the sculpture appear simultaneously monolithic and weightless. Installed individually or as a constellation, the Columns become active participants in their surroundings, reshaping landscape, architecture, and sky into fragmented, shifting compositions.
1/1 Installation
Columns can be installed:
- Individually as sculptural accents
- In clusters to form a reflective vertical landscape
- Outdoors or indoors (weather-resistant stainless steel)
- Anchored directly into ground or onto engineered bases
- Suitable for plazas, gardens, entrances, courtyards, lobbies
Lighting from below or at oblique angles enhances the rippled reflections dramatically.
