Artist Statement
This work bridges furniture and sculpture. The desk is architecturally calm and rectilinear; the leg is liquid and alive. By replacing a conventional support with a flowing column, the piece turns function into theatre—the room, people and daylight ripple across the metal as if the table were casting light rather than shadows. The reflective pool at the base anchors the gesture, suggesting both stability and motion in a single stroke.
1/1 Modern Exhibition
Install in a meeting room with uncluttered sightlines to the sculptural leg. Use soft, grazing light from the side (3000–3500K, high CRI) to pull long highlights down the curve; avoid harsh top light that flattens the relief. Keep floor finishes around the base clean and matte so the “pool” remains crisp. Fingerprints are easily removed with microfiber and a pH-neutral cleaner.
1/2 Renaissance Works
A stream of metal that decides to become a table.
