Artist Statement
Flotsam treats furniture as a shoreline event. The tabletop is a drifting raft of reflections—eddies and cells gather, then slide outward to the edges. The legs continue the motion as four descending currents, bending light into vertical ribbons. The piece makes the surrounding room its pigment: floors, walls and people flow across the surface, so the table becomes an instrument for seeing motion in stillness.
1/1 Modern Exhibition
Place against a matte wall or free as an entry console with 0.5–1 m of clearance to either side. Use high-CRI 3000–4000 K lighting: a soft frontal wash plus a gentle overhead graze to articulate the relief without hot spots. Keep nearby palettes neutral so reflections “color” the work. Clean only with microfiber and a pH-neutral solution.
1/2 Renaissance Works
