Artist Statement
Fluid Foundations stages a meeting of states: timber as earth, steel as water. The hand-finished Bubinga plane is calm and rectilinear; from its edge, a silver current seems to overflow, pooling on the floor and then rising to carry the weight. The reflective metal reads the room as moving image, while the wood anchors it with grain and warmth. Together they propose a foundation built from flow—strength found in what looks soft.
1/1 Modern Exhibition
Show as a coffee table with at least 0.6–0.8 m circulation all around. Light with high-CRI 3000–4000 K: a soft overhead wash plus low grazing from the metal side to model the relief without harsh hot spots. Keep surrounding tones neutral; avoid strong patterns under glass that may double in reflection. Maintain with microfiber and pH-neutral cleaner for steel; oil/wax the wood periodically. Use felt pads; keep away from direct heat and prolonged sun.
1/2 Renaissance Works
A river becomes a footing; the table rests on flow.
