Icicle

A vertical sculpture in mirror-polished 316L stainless steel, lifted on a dark wooden plinth with a “puddled” metal base. The body is slender and faceted, slicing light like a frozen stalactite.

Artist Statement

Icicle is a line stretched between sky and ground. The keen, shifting profile breaks the surroundings into a cadence of icy planes, while the pooled foot returns the form to liquid. The contrast between the crystal-cold vertical and the soft, spilled base asks: is an image solid—or just a moment of motion?

1/1 Modern Exhibition

Install freestanding with at least 1.2 m of clearance so the silhouette reads cleanly. Use high-CRI 3000–4000 K lighting: narrow side accents to pick the facets, soft frontal fill to avoid hotspots. Keep the backdrop neutral (matte grey) with minimal pattern. Clean with microfiber and a pH-neutral solution only.
