Artist Statement
Liquid Mercury explores the boundary between sculpture and surface, transforming polished steel into a living, reactive skin. The work behaves like a metal pool caught mid-motion—ripples freeze into sharp, glasslike forms, while reflections cascade and fragment across its surface. By embracing distortion, the piece challenges the viewer’s perception of solidity and depth, turning space, light, and movement into active participants in the sculpture’s expression.
