Artist Statement
“Melting Slab” compresses a phase change into a single object. The vertical retains its architectural clarity while the surface behaves like ripples stopped mid-flow. At the base, gravity appears to liquefy the metal into a reflective puddle, turning a hard material into a memory of water. The work is a study in tension—between column and spill, permanence and flux, weight and light.
1/1 Modern Exhibition
Place free-standing with ~0.8–1.0 m clearance so the melt footprint reads cleanly. Use even, high-CRI lighting at 3000–4000 K; aim a soft key 20–30° off-axis to reveal the relief without hot spots. Keep surroundings neutral so reflections provide the color. Handle with nitrile gloves; clean only with microfiber and a pH-neutral solution.
