Penetration

A compact mirror-polished stainless steel sculpture formed through the Mercury Effect technique and mounted on an oxidised stainless steel base. Its fluid, distorted geometry creates a sense of pressure, motion, and internal emergence.

Artist Statement

Penetration explores the idea of force meeting resistance. The polished steel surface appears as if pushed from within, capturing the moment when an invisible pressure breaks through a perfect plane. The work reflects the tension between softness and rigidity—an interaction where metal behaves like skin, stretching, bulging, and yielding without breaking. Each deformation becomes a frozen record of movement, questioning the boundaries between solidity and fluidity.

1/1 Installation

This piece is suited for intimate interior spaces—entry halls, gallery pedestals, modern living rooms, or boutique lobbies. Its compact dimensions allow it to function both as a standalone sculptural centerpiece and as part of a collection. Adjustable focused lighting enhances its fluid distortions and shadow play.
