Artist Statement
River Wild explores how a solid material can behave optically like a moving element. The top plane undulates in gentle, fluid relief, capturing the impression of a river caught mid-motion. Reflections bend and stretch across the polished sides, echoing shifting currents and changing depths. The piece merges function with fluidity, transforming stainless steel into a still yet dynamic landscape of light and motion.
1/1 Installation
Install as a standalone piece with full perimeter access. Use soft, diffused lighting (3000–4000 K) to enhance the subtle surface ripples without producing sharp hotspots. Keep surrounding colors neutral to let the reflective distortions remain the dominant visual element. Works well in spacious interiors, lobbies, galleries, and environments where the reflections can interact with the room’s architecture.
