The Wedge (2014)

A compact indoor-oriented stainless steel sculpture shaped as a vertical wedge, reflecting its surroundings in liquid-like distortions.

Artist Statement

The Wedge explores the tension between stillness and transformation. Its angled, rising form evokes a blade piercing space, while the surface behaves like a shifting membrane—capturing and refracting movement, color, and architecture. The piece is conceived as an intimate counterpart to The Blade, retaining the same dynamic energy but scaled for residential, gallery, or reception environments.

1/1 Installation

CoThe Wedge is designed for indoor placement in open layouts, lobbies, hotel lounges, private homes, or corporate foyers.
Its stable 500 × 500 × 280 mm base accommodates a variety of flooring types, while its slender vertical rise of 1600 mm allows it to integrate seamlessly with furniture, lighting setups, and architectural lines.

Ideal installation settings:

  • Beside a window wall for natural reflections
  • In minimal contemporary interiors
  • As a single statement piece or paired with smaller reflective works

Lighting enhances its effect dramatically—warm or directional spotlights emphasize the sculpture’s metallic wave patterns.
