Wall Sculpture

A mirror-polished stainless-steel relief panel whose surface ripples like liquefied metal caught mid-flow. The plane buckles and bends into a shifting mosaic of reflections, turning the wall into an active, living field of light.

Artist Statement

Wall Sculpture examines how a solid plane can behave like a moving substance. Formed from mirror-polished stainless steel, the work begins as a flat sheet and is then subjected to controlled distortions that ripple across the surface like waves frozen in time. The resulting relief becomes a topography of liquid geometry—peaks, troughs, and tension lines that fracture the surrounding environment into hundreds of shimmering fragments.

Unlike a traditional sculptural object, this piece does not project into space but pulls the space into itself. Any viewer, room, or source of light becomes part of the composition, constantly shifting as one moves past the work. The wall ceases to be background; it becomes an active reflector, a dynamic skin that vibrates with the life around it.

The sculpture invites slow looking. From a distance, it reads as a single visual pulse; up close, it reveals complex details where distortions tighten, soften, or collide. It is both a mirror and an abstraction, a material stillness that performs like a fluid.

1/1 Interior Placement

Mount on a neutral, matte wall to amplify the movement of light across the surface. Even lighting around 3000–4000 K helps control glare while preserving the depth of reflections. In narrow corridors or living spaces the work produces a kinetic effect as viewers pass by.

1/2 Architectural Dialogue

Perfect for reception areas, hotel lobbies, stair landings, or contemporary interiors where it can “borrow” textures, colors, and silhouettes from the environment. Works especially well opposite windows or soft natural light.
